Located in the National Capital Region of the Philippines, Quezon City was named after its former president Manuel L. Quezon.  It has been said that, "He envisioned a place where the common man would find his place with dignity".  October 12, 1983, Quezon City was born.  As the second largest city in the Philippines, it serves as home to millions of Filipinos.  Quezon City features landmarks that define Philippine history and allow us to relive the proud past of our fellow countrymen.  It is a place that has witnessed several downfalls and remarkable victories.  All around Quezon City, one may find significant places that tell a unique story of why we are proud to be Filipinos.  Aside from historical landmarks, top universities and colleges are also found in the area.  One may also find the beauty of different shrines and churches around the city.  Places of leisure, like environmental parks and malls also play an important role in making Quezon City a city of variety.  Through time, Q.C has evolved into an urbanized city making it a busy place wherein buildings and street lights have taken over.  Nonetheless, if you look past the poverty and urbanized upgrades, we may still discover Quezon City for what it once was, A City of New Horizons.
